Warranty policy

PATON INTERNATIONAL guarantees the correct operation of the power source provided the consumer adheres to the proper conditions for operation, storage, and transportation.

Warranty Duration

  • Power Source (Inverter Equipment): 1-5 years from the date of sale to the end customer.
  • The warranty can be extended for an additional 1-2 years upon purchase of an extended warranty package.

Free Warranty Service

During the warranty period, PATON INTERNATIONAL provides the following services free of charge:

  • Diagnosis and identification of the cause of the breakdown.
  • Replacement of necessary components and units required for repair.
  • Repair work on failed components and assemblies.
  • Testing of the repaired equipment to ensure it is functioning properly.

Conditions & Exclusions

The warranty does not apply in the following situations:

  • Mechanical damage that affects device performance (e.g., deformation from dropping the equipment or impact with heavy objects).
  • Corrosion that has caused equipment malfunction.
  • Damage from exposure to excessive moisture, which impacts electronic components.
  • Failure due to the accumulation of conductive dust (such as coal dust, metal shavings, etc.).
  • Unauthorized repairs or modifications by non-certified technicians or the customer.
  • Failure to regularly clean internal elements every six months, which is necessary to maintain the device’s performance. Cleaning must be done with compressed air and performed carefully to avoid damaging internal components.

Consumables and External Parts

The warranty does not cover consumable items or external elements subject to wear and tear or physical contact. Claims for these parts must be made within two weeks of purchase:

  • Power buttons, parameter adjustment knobs, connectors, mains cables, carrying handles, shoulder straps, cases/boxes.
  • Electrode holders, ground clamps, torches, welding cables, and sleeves.

Transferability & Warranty Registration

  • The warranty is transferable to a new owner, provided the warranty card is available and filled in correctly by the seller.
  • The seller reserves the right to set the warranty start date as the date of manufacture (based on the serial number) if the warranty card is lost or incorrectly filled out by the seller at the time of sale.

Warranty Extension

The warranty period will be extended for the duration of time the equipment spends undergoing warranty service at an authorized service center.

Authorized Service Centers

For warranty service and repairs, the equipment must be taken to an authorized PATON service center. A list of service centers can be obtained at the place of purchase.
